Itanagar, Jul 3: Press Information Bureau, Itanagar Office organised a Media Workshop on the three New Criminal Laws at the DK convention Hall on Wednesday. Chukhu Apa, IGP (Law & Order), Arunachal police graced the occasion as chief guest. Neha Yadav, Principal of the Police Training Centre (PTC) and Director Forensic Lab, Arunachal Pradesh acted as the Resource Person and addressed the participants. Apart from Media personnel, Law students of Himalayan University also attended the workshop.
Deputy Director, Doordarshan Kendra Itanagar, Deepak Kumar in his inaugural speech asserted that these new laws are the need of the time and they have been designed for the modern time.
Chief Guest Chukhu Apa, IGP (Law & Order) Arunachal Pradesh Police in his lecture mentioned about the difficulties in implementation of the laws, and tried to draw a timeline for implementing them.
Neha Yadav, Principal PTC who was the resource person of the Vartalap discussed the three New Criminal Laws, i.e. Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam. In an interactive manner, she involved every participant and described these new laws in a way so that everyone could understand,
Later a Q&A session was also held for participants to clear their doubts.
