PASIGHAT, Aug 24: A cyclonic storm which hit Pasighat on Friday midnight has lead to disruption of power lines which is expected to lead to massive power power cuts to the East Siang district headquarters.
Executive Engineer (E), Transmission Division –III, informed on Saturday that due to the cyclonic storm, a tree had fallen over the 132kV Aalo-Pasighat Transmission Line at Loc. AP-22 and AP-23, leading to snapping of conductors of the transmission line and may take upto 3 days to restore depending upon the weather condition.
Grid supply has also been tripped at 12.54 AM. 132kV Roing-Pasighat Transmission Line also tripped at the same time due to cyclonic storm and reason for the line fault is yet to be detected and process is underway.
