ITANAGAR, Nov 29: While welcoming the Pan Arunachal Joint Steering Action Committee's move to drop the contentious 'null & void' point from their 13-point charter of demand, the Parents Joint Committee (PJC) against null & void sought a roundtable meeting with the former before joining hands for a common cause.
We welcome PAJSC's move to drop the contentious null & void point from their charter of demands and hope that this will pave way for a united voice against corruption, stated a press release from PJC against null & void on Wednesday.
"While we extend our full support to PAJSC in pursuing complete reformation of the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission, we would like a round table meeting between executive members of PAJSC and PJC to have full and final clarity on null & void issue before we all join hands together for a common cause," said Ajay Matam, general secretary of PJC against null & void.
PJC has appealed to the PAJSC not to take legal recourse against the interest of the families and children who have reached their respective positions through hard work and merit. "Hence, as parents, we expect PAJSC would give such assurance in writing so that our agitating minds and hearts may find respite," the PJC general secretary said.
Appreciating the significant steps taken by the state government so far in resolving the APPSC fiasco, PJC, however, urged the former to constitute the new Commission as early as possible and complete the process of all pending exams as well as conduct new exams for all the vacant posts.
It also urged the state government to design a robust SOP for the APPSC by taking suggestions from all stakeholders and the aspirants' community so that the faith of aspirants as well as the general public in APPSC is restored.
PAJSC, during a press conference held recently, said they are dropping the demand for declaring the APPSC exams as null & void. However, PAJSC stated that they would knock on the doors of the court regarding their demand for declaring the compromised exams of the APPSC examinations as null and void.
