Yupia, Jun 8: A one day District Level orientation training on National Programe for Prevention and Control of Cancer, Diabetes, Cardiovascular Diseases and Stroke (NPCDCS) and Integrated Disease Survillance Programme (IDSP) and Integrated Health Information programme(IHIP) for Medical Officers s and HWOs was held at the Conference Hall of the DMO Yupia on Friday last .
The MOs and HWOs were trained on the various reporting formats under the programme with focus on National programme for Health care of Elderly and National Rabies control programme.
Speaking on the occasion, the District Medical Officer Dr.R R Ronya urged the participants to timely update and send the reports to the district level for further compilation and onward submission to the Government.
Emphasising on the need to provide accurate data she also added that “accurate data helps in planning and implementing public health policies and programs effectively, allows for accurate tracking of disease outbreaks and the monitoring of health trends, ensures that resources such as vaccines, medications, and medical personnel are distributed where they are most needed and Informs policymakers to make evidence-based decisions that improve public health outcomes.”
The orientation program organised by the District Health Society was attended by all the MOs and HWOs of Papum Pare district.
