Itanagar, Jun 11: The National Students' Union of India (NSUI) Arunachal Pradesh has expressed grave concern over the recent NEET exam controversy. The students' body called for immediate rectification and transparency in the examination process.
The controversy has highlighted significant issues, including specific issues, e.g., question paper leaks, administrative errors, malpractices. These issues have caused undue stress and disadvantage to thousands of aspirants, it pointed out.
"We demand the Ministry of Education and the National Testing Agency to address these issues urgently. The future of our students is at stake," said K.T. Apang, Vice President of NSUI Arunachal Pradesh.
NSUI Arunachal Pradesh has called for conducting a thorough investigation into the reported irregularities in the NEET examination process and to publicly share the findings to maintain transparency.
It also demanded an option for re-evaluation or conduct a re-examination for the affected students to ensure fairness and equity; stricter security measures and technological solutions to prevent future malpractices and ensure the integrity of the examination process and student support and compensation.
