DNGC, Oct 21: Induction-cum-Orientation programme was organized by NSS Unit of Dera Natung Government College (DNGC), Itanagar on Saturday. The event was graced by the presence of Dr. M.Q. Khan, Principal, DNGC, and three NSS Programme Officers -- Botem Moyong, Assistant Professor Mathematics, Dr. Chello Lima, Assistant Professor Commerce and Phuntso Gombu, Assistant Professor Chemistry. The programme was attended by around 400 NSS volunteers including 200 newly inducted NSS volunteers and 200 senior volunteers. 
The NSS Unit DNGC organizes such event every year in the college to enlighten the newly inducted NSS volunteers towards all round development and moral responsibility of NSS volunteers.
Dr. M.Q. Khan, Principal, DNGC, advised the students to become torch bearers of society. He suggested the members present to keep awareness, parameters and documentation of every successful event organized by NSS Unit DNGC which can lead the college’s reputation up to the next higher level including NAAC Accreditation, etc. He urged emphatically and warned against misuse of college name and college logo in creating social media groups and pages by unauthorised persons.
He further exhorted the volunteers to create awareness among other students of the the college to imbibe belongingness to college and to inculcate power of positivity and discipline without which success in life is impossible.
