ITANAGAR, Jun 6:  NPP State President Thangwang Wangham, who was recently elected as the MLA from the Longding-Pumao assembly constituency, has expressed optimism about working cordially with the BJP for the all-round development of Arunachal Pradesh. 
Speaking on the sidelines of the NPP MLAs felicitation programme held today, Wangham responded to queries by highlighting the trust the people of Arunachal have placed in the NPP's ideology, which has resulted in the election of at least five NPP candidates.he extended gratitude to the public for their support.
The newly elected candidates include Namge Tsering from Tawang, Pesi Jilen from Liromoba, Tapi Darang from Pasighat East, Oni Panyang from Mariyang Geku, and Thangwang Wangham himself. Wangham also informed that during the meeting, the party elected him as the NPP Legislators' Leader and Pesi Jilen as the Chief Whip.
Wangham also clarified that as a member of the North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA), the NPP is committed to working cordially with the state BJP government. However, he emphasized that the onus is on the state BJP to coordinate effectively with the NPP elected leaders. He further mentioned that the NPP MLAs will soon meet with the party's National President.
When questioned about the distribution of funds from the state government, Wangham categorically stated that funds shared by the central government are meant for the equal distribution and development of the state, not for any particular party or constituency. He stressed that there should be no discrimination in fund allocation and that the Chief Minister, regardless of party affiliation, should lead the state without bias to ensure all-round development.
