Wakro, Oct 25: Noted Indian novelist and poet Vikram Seth visited Lohit on Thursday and interacted with the youth in Digaru. Seth impressed with the vibrant colours of the Mishmi attire also showed great curiosity in the silver jewellery worn by the Mishmi women. Seth expressed his desire to visit the region again and spend more time understanding the people and the culture.
The youth of Arunachal were delighted to meet the leader and admired his simplicity and friendliness. Seth was accompanied by renowned filmmaker, photographer and writer Kunal Verma. Communications professional Kunal had earlier visited and interacted with the youth and the people twice.
The duo also visited other social centres and interacted with the people. The community thanked Bomgalu Drai and former Lohit Zilla Parishad Chairperson Patam Rangmang for rendering support in conducting the interaction program.
