ITANAGAR, Oct 30: The National Health Mission (NHM) held a meeting to assess the performance of the state health sector today 
which covered District Quality Assurance, Free Diagnostic & Finance Health Grants/Referral Transport  and other NHM component like Maternal Health, Child Health nutrition family planning, PC & PNDT. 
Mission Director NHM hoped that the review meeting will help the districts to identify shortcomings and to improve its health indicator. Meanwhile, he urged the DMOs and DRCHOs to work closely together and prioritize uploading of accurate data. 
Special Secretary, Health & Family Welfare, Vivek H.P while addressing the participants advised the districts to conduct financial reviews and plan the activities accordingly, which would optimize fund utilization as well as improve the health indicators. He urged the DMOs and DRCHOs to stay well informed and updated about the programme. Speaking about Kayakalp Award, he said "We should question why our hospital hasn't received the Kayakalp certificate, given that cleanliness, hygiene and infection control is a basic necessity for any health care facility." He underscored the need for healthcare facilities to prioritize cleanliness as a critical component of patient care and safety. 
Dr Amping Perme, JT Director FW & Nodal Officer, Quality Assurance, during the performance review asked the districts to reconstitute its quality committee under quality assurance as only six districts have done so. She urged the district officials to focus  on grey areas in order to achieve a state certificate. She also emphasised to focus on 8 areas of concern-- service provision, input patient right, clinical services, support services, infection control, quality management & outcomes to get the NQOS Certificate. Dr Amping requested the districts to empanel the gynecologists including private ones under family welfare in accordance with the Supreme Court directive and asked the districts to send monthly report. 
Dr Runi Tassung (NO MH) while reviewing the RKSK and maternal health instructed the districts to administer Iron folic acid supplement (Blue IFA Tablet) to all the students in the age group and upload the data in HMIS. Concerned about high incidence of home delivery, she urged the districts to look into it seriously and address the issue, while adding to prioritize the JSY(Janani Suraksh Yojna) and ASHA incentives.
Dr Dilip Dutta SMO(SG) CHC Ruksin gave orientation  in LaQsha to the participants.
The meeting was attended by DMO/ JT DHS (HTRC) Pasighat/CMS TRIHMS/DRCHO,Medical Superintendent of the District Hospitals.
