ITANAGAR, Oct 24: The Nyishi Elite Society felicitated many academic excellence and professional achiever’s of the Nyishi Community on the occasion of its 19th Annual academic excellence and professional achievement awards 2023 at NES Research & Heritage Center Richi Jullang on Monday last.
Addressing the gathering NES president Prof. Tana Showren expressed happiness over the academic performance of the students, especially girls and advised them to maintain the same spirit. At the same time, he exuded hope that the professional awardees will exhibit best work ethics and carry on the dignity and reputation of the community in all walks of life.
He also said the motives of academic excellence and professional achievement awards program of NES is also among flagship program of NES to encourage and to meaningfully engage the members of the society.
Home Minister Bamang Felix who was also present lauded the performance of girl children and make serious appeal to the community to ponder over the performance of boys.
This year the NES felicitated a total of 18 meritorious students, 57 officers and 3 distinguished professional achievers of the Nyishi community.
On the occasion, the NES felicitated and honoured 3 distinguished persons for their professional achievement as well as their social contributions.
Pige Ligu, Secretary Education for being inducted into the AGMUT cadre of IAS by the UPSC, Tapu Gapak, IFS (Retd.) and Former President, NES and Bengia Tabb, Manager, SBI (Retd.) and former President, NES were felicitated.
Earlier, NES General Secretary Heri Maring, highlighted the overview and motives of academic excellence and professional achievement awards program of NES in his welcome speech.
