PASIGHAT, Oct 9:  Director, North Eastern Institute of Ayurveda & Folk Medicine Research, Pasighat (NEIAFMR), Dr. Robindra Teron today highlighted various key achievements of the Ministry of Ayush in its first 100 days.
Apprising the media persons at the Pasighat Press Club about the recent development activities, he pointed out several key achievements in 100 days like: donor agreement with WHO, MoU with Vietnam on medicinal plants and Malaysia on Ayurveda, promoting “one herb one standard” initiative, special medical stores for Ayush medicines, completion of NABH evaluation of 1489 Ayushman Arogya Mandir. He also read out other achievements in major campaigns and initiatives like Har Ghar AyurYog for Healthier India, Ayush campaign for Geriatric population, inclusion of Ayush package in AB-PMJAY and many other key achievements.
“Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Prataprao Jadhav, Union Minister of State for Ayush (Independent Charge), the Ministry has made remarkable progress in promoting traditional Indian systems of medicine and strengthening of Ayush in the field of international cooperation”, stated Dr. Teron.
He also informed that NEIAFMR, Pasighat is trying to provide the best services toward the public and contribute significantly in research & development in traditional folk healing practices in the region. The Institute is also documenting on gifted traditional healers from every nook and corner of the state as the vision behind is to impart/give natural treatments to the patients, he added.
The North Eastern Institute of Ayurveda & Folk Medicine Research (NEIAFMR), Pasighat (Erstwhile North Eastern Institute of Folk Medicine) is an autonomous National Institute under the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India. The Institute is located in Pasighat, East Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh.
