Namsai, Jun 22: An awareness workshop on eMobility was organised by Arunachal Pradesh Energy Development Agency (APEDA) in collaboration with Namsai District Administration and technical expert iVENCO-Kolkata at Namsai today. 
The chief guest, Namsai Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Chairman, APEDA, C R Khampa, while inaugurating the exhibition stall of Electric Vehicle and the workshop emphasised the importance of eMobility and stated that transitioning from fossil fuels to electric vehicles is a significant step towards environmental conservation and reducing air pollution. 
He then commended APEDA for its efforts in promoting alternative and sustainable energy sources and for organizing the workshop in Namsai. 
Referring to an earlier speech by Er. Z T Sorang, Deputy Director of APEDA Tezu, who mentioned that the Government of Arunachal Pradesh is working on Arunachal Pradesh Electric Vehicle Policy 2023 which is currently in the draft stage, he urged all the stakeholders to diligently work towards implementing the policy once it is finalized in letter and spirit.
On behalf of District Administration, Khampa assured to extend full cooperation in taking and implementing this initiative and fulfilling its desired outcomes. 
The workshop was attended by H.N Dubey, Director, AUS, EE & AE, Department of Power, Urban & H, DHO, AE PHED, Assistant Director, Textile and Handicraft, AE, PWD, officers from DTO, Panchayat leaders, Oil Refueling Station owners and representatives, officers & officials of APEDA, Tezu, Roing, Kharsang, and officers from Power Grid, Namsai. The e-scooty team (Neoecoventures), OJA Hyundai & Tata dealers from Guwahati also attended and displayed of their e-Vehicles.
