ITANAGAR, Jun 22:Policy Programme Manager India & South Asia, Facebook, Rajat Arora, said that Nano, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in India are amongst the biggest winners from receiving access to Internet.
He was speaking at an interaction meeting with officials of Department of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Department of Industries was held at Udyog Sadan today. Arora also made a powerpoint presentation covering the gamut of Facebook in boosting business programmes for budding and existing entrepreneurs.
Director, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Subu Tabin, and Director Industries, Taru Talo, asked the department to go digital and be IT savvy in order to facilitate other stakeholders to disseminate information through social media.
The duo asked the officers to clarify any doubts on social media, Facebook etc. and take maximum advantage of the interaction programme.
During the meeting, the members clarified their doubts on creation of Facebook page, groups and how to utilize it for benefit of rural entrepreneurs, cloud storage of data in social media etc.
Answering to a query about Facebook use by rural people, Arora said that a manual on usage of Facebook in local language and dialects will be published for convenience of the local entrepreneurs in the long run.
