ITANAGAR, Dec 26: Minister of State for Railways and Textiles, Darshana V Jardosh convened a meeting with the District Administrations of the Capital and Papumpare in the presence of Chief Secretary Incharge Vivek Pandey and Swapnil M Naik Secretary GoAP, to review flagship programmes and new and completed projects undertaken by various departments at the Civil Secretariat today.
The Minister took a detailed review of all the ongoing projects within the Capital Itanagar and Papumpare and asked the Deputy Commissioners Talo Potom and Jiken Bomjen to ensure that all the implementing agencies ensure that the projects are implemented while ensuring that benefits reach the masses.
Jardosh stressed on the need of awareness generation regarding various schemes which are for the welfare of the people. She discussed in detail about schemes like Ayushman Bharat- Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojna (PMJAY) that provides free access to healthcare, Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) that provide cash incentive to pregnant women and lactating mothers, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Poshan Abhiyan Poshan Pakwara, Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY), Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana(PMAY), PM Svanidhi, Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (PMKSY), Jal Jeevan Mission(JJM) etc.
The Minister urged on the need to improve the waste management system in the State Capital while urging the officers to conduct Swacch Bharat Abhiyan campaign. She said that NGOs should be involved in the cleanliness campaign and awareness on waste management especially plastic waste has to be carried out.
She welcomed the Itanagar Municipal Corporation officers for an exposure tour to Gujarat to learn the techniques of waste management while adding that one should always be encouraged to learn new and innovative ideas from each other.
Earlier, the DC Papumpare Jiken Bomjen in a presentation provided data and insights on various ongoing projects.
Among others, DC Capital Talo Potom, ADC Shweta Nagarkoti, Jt Commissioner IMC Datum Gadi and officers from various departments attended the meeting.
