DAPORIJO, Aug 12: Minister of Textile and Handicraft, and Industries, Nyato Dukam, along with Daporijo MLA Taniya Soki and Dumporijo MLA Rode Bui, officially flagged off two Advanced Life Support Ambulances today at the Tadak Dulom District Hospital in Daporijo.
These ambulances were donated by the National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC) Subansiri Upper Hydroelectric Project, as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. The initiative was led by NHPC’s Head of Project, Deepak Ratan Sagar, and Executive Director, Sudhir Kumar Yadav.
Minister Dukam expressed his gratitude to the NHPC for their significant contribution, emphasizing that the addition of these ambulances is a crucial enhancement to the district’s healthcare infrastructure. He noted that these vehicles will greatly improve emergency medical services for the residents of Upper Subansiri District.
Minister Dukam also expressed optimism that NHPC will continue to engage in such impactful initiatives in the future.He called for collective support and cooperation from all stakeholders to ensure the successful completion of NHPC’s 1605 MW Subansiri Upper Hydroelectric Project. He highlighted that the project, once completed, will not only bring substantial positive changes to the district but will also contribute significantly to the empowerment and development of the state as a whole.
