Likabali, Oct 21: The 3rd District Level Monitoring Committee was  chaired by learned Mentor Secretary Hage Tari, IFoS , Secretary, Industries and Trade & Commerce at Likabali on Friday.
The meeting started with welcome address by DC Marto Riba to the Mentor Secretary and all HoDs. The various departments/Agency have presented the progress of projects through presentation undertaken under CSS and State Sponsored Schemes and central and state flagship programme were reviewed and monitored.
The Mentor Secretary of Lower Siang reviewed the progress in implementation of various schemes in the district and advised all HODS to ensure provision of the maximum benefits to the people.
Many new schemes have been introduced by Central and State Government. The Lower Siang district is located in strategic location with well connected to Railways, Roads, and near to Airports. This advantageous position can be utilized to boost the Agro-allied sector industries in the region. He was amazed with Turmeric-Megha-6 production of the district. He had suggested exploring the production for international markets after quality checking & grading.
The DC advised all HODS to ensure quality of work in all the projects undertaken in the districts. He also highlighted the practical difficulties faced in implementing some newly projects and schemes particularly in dealing with subsidy and loan issues with banking sectors.
