Namsai, Jun 20: Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, inaugurated the District Emporium in Namsai today on his maiden visit to his home district after being sworn in as the Deputy Chief Minister of the State for the fourth consecutive time. The District Emporium is funded by the NITI Aayog under the Aspirational District Program and aims to empower local artisans and entrepreneurs by providing them with a dedicated space to showcase and sell their products. The initiative also seeks to promote the rich cultural heritage of the region.
The emporium was inaugurated in presence of MP Lok Sabha (Arunachal East), Tapir Gao, Advisor cum MLA Namsai, Zingnu Namchoom.
The dignitaries were accorded a warm reception at Dirak Gate, Poi Pee Mau Ground, Namsai and at Buddha Vihara, Chongkham. They were felicitated by the people of Namsai including District Administration, HoDs, CBOs, Women Welfare Society, Youth and Student Organizations of Namsai District at the Poi Pee Mau Ground.
Addressing the public at Namsai and Chongkham, Mein expressed his gratitude to the people of the State for electing the BJP with a thumping majority and also for sending Tapir Gao as MP from East Parliamentary Constituency for the third time. He also thanked Chief Minister Pema Khandu for trusting him and inducting him as the Deputy Chief Minister for the third time in his Cabinet.
Mein emphasized that Viksit Arunachal remains the sole objective of the Government of Arunachal Pradesh in line with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for Viksit Bharat. In this pursuit, youth, women empowerment and upliftment of the rural & farmers’ economy will be prioritized.
He further said that equal emphasis will be given to the development of the border areas at par with the foothills and plain areas of the State for equitable development of all regions. He also said that a road map for overall development of the State in all sectors will be evolved under the leadership of the Chief Minister. He added that the Modi 3.0 Government will be action oriented and very fast and we have to be always on our toes.
He reaffirmed the State government's commitment to creating a more prosperous, equitable, and sustainable development in the State.
The programme was attended by DC Namsai CR Khampa, ZPC Urmila Mancheykun, District BJP President Chiw Sujana Namchoom, HoDs and Executive Members of other CBOs, student & youth organizations, GBs and the general public.
