Namsai, Oct 1: A mega health mela was held at New Mohong, under Lekang Block  Namsai District today which was attended by Member of Parliament (East Arunachal), Tapir Gao as Chief Guest and MLA Namsai, Chau Zingnu Namchoom as Guest of Honour among others.
During the mela, 706 patients were registered. Alongside with International Day for Older Person was also celebrated where 82 people above 60 years old were screened for diabetes, hypertension and vision test. Free spectacles were also distributed to people with refractive error. 
Anti Tobacco Pledge was also administered by the MP who also signed the Signature Campaign of Swastha Bharat Abhiyan.
