Itanagar, Sep 23: The IIM, Shillong in collaboration with SIRD&PR, Arunachal Pradesh began a five-day national level training programme on Management Development Programme for District Panchayat Development Officers, Circle Officers-cum- Member Secretary, Panchayati Raj, Zilla Parishad Chairpersons, Zilla Parishad Members and Gram Panchayat Chairpersons including faculties of SIRD&PR.
The core objective of the programme to equip the senior officers and PRIs for better formulation of the project and delivery of project with sustainable manner. The major contents of the programmes are tools and techniques for project management, monitoring, evaluation, the broad road map for sustainable development goals, digital transformation & ICT for PRIs, public finance management for PRIs, development concerns in the local context, leadership and teamwork qualitative decision making and effective communication and public relations for various level of PRIs. Eminent Professors of IIM, Shillong are imparting the training.
This national level training is being executed through a strong Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between IIM, Shillong and SIRD&PR, Arunachal Pradesh under the able leadership of Dr. Sonal Swaroop, Secretary (PR), Government of Arunachal Pradesh and Habung Lampung, Director, SIRD&PR with a team of dedicated faculties.
Dr. Sanjeev Ningombam, Centre Head, APJ Abdul Kalam Centre for Policy & Research, IIM, Shillong & Dr. Narayan Sahoo, Deputy Director, Shri, S. W. Bagang, AD and Dr. Mihin Lali, AD, SIRD&PR, Arunachal Pradesh are coordinating this programme. All together 33 officers and dedicated PRI leaders of Arunachal Pradesh are attending the programme.
