Tezu, Jun 1: DEO Lohit, Shashvat Saurabh today held a press briefing at the District Secretariat in connection to the arrangements and preparation that have been put in place for counting day. He also explained all the SOPs, rules and regulations related to the counting day.
During the briefing, he said that all arrangements have been made as per the ECI guidelines to ensure that the counting is concluded peacefully, in addition prohibitory measures have been made under 144 CrPC.
The 100-meter periphery of the counting hall has been designated as pedestrian zone and three-tier security cordons have been made. Any kind of victory procession has also been prohibited. The DEO also informed about the arrangements like parking, announcement of trends of round wise result for the public etc.
Tumme Amo, SSP Lohit informed that the police is ready for any eventualities, and that all necessary security arrangements have been made to ensure that the counting process is completed peacefully without any hiccups. He urged everyone to cooperate with the District Administration and the security personnel to make the process a successful one. DIPRO.
