Itanagar, Jun 9: The Arunachal Pradesh State Legal Services Authority (APSLSA) has set up a Legal Aid Clinic at Tezu Women Police Station which is intended to provide free legal services to citizens.
Tage Halley, District & Sessions Judge and Chairman of District Legal Services Authority, Lohit formally inaugurated the newly set up Clinic in the presence of several dignitaries.
​​​The Chairman, DLSA emphasized the significance and functions of the Legal Aid Clinic and Para Legal Volunteer (PLV) in bridging the gap between legal service institutions and general public as PLV serves as grassroots workers, ensuring that individual seeking legal assistance have access to free legal aid through the nearest legal service institutions. The newly set up clinic will cater to the legal needs of the people and shall be manned by a dedicated PLV who shall assist the legal aid seekers.
The Chairman of DLSA, Lohit also inaugurated the offices of Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Lohit and Chief Legal Aid Defense Counsel set up at ADR building, Tezu.
