TENGA VALLEY, Dec 4: The Annual Day celebration of Kendriya Vidyalaya Tenga Valley was held with great enthusiasm, showcasing the talents and achievements of its students. The event, marked by vibrant cultural displays and inspiring speeches, was a grand success.
Brig. James Thomas, Deputy General Officer Commanding (DyGOC) HQ 5 Mountain Division and Chairman of the Vidyalaya Management Committee (VMC), attended the occasion as the Chief Guest. In his address,Thomas emphasized the importance of hard work, commitment, and perseverance.
A significant highlight of the event was the inauguration of the Wall of Heroes in the school library. The Wall pays tribute to the fallen soldiers of the nation, recognizing them as true heroes and inspiring students to value their sacrifices.
The cultural program, featuring performances that ranged from Rajasthani folk dances and classical Bharatnatyam to self-defence demonstrations and melodious folk songs was performed.
An award to students for their exceptional achievements in academics, sports, and co-curricular activities has also been organized. Certificates and trophies were presented to those who excelled in various fields, highlighting their hard work and dedication.
Among others,  Guests of Honour Col Uday Singh, Commanding Officer of 605 EME Battalion; Lt Col R.K. Verma, SO-1 (Education), HQ 5 Mountain Division, and Nominee Chairman of VMC; and Dr. Savita Mehta, Principal of Army Public School, Tenga Valley attended the event.
