PALIN, Nov 14: Kra Daadi district witnessed its inaugural Open Mic event at the Byabang Heri Govt Higher Secondary School's Club 2021 Public Library on Monday. Organized by the Arunachal Pradesh Literary Society Kra Daadi Branch in collaboration with Club 2021, the program served as a captivating prelude to the Arunachal Literature Festival 2023 scheduled for November 16 to 18 next in Itanagar. 
A groundbreaking initiative by APLS Kra Daadi, this event aimed to elevate literature, art, and culture in the town. Participants, including students, aspiring writers, poets, literary enthusiasts, and budding musicians, showcased their talent. Educational institutions of the town actively engaged in the program. The diverse performances encompassed poetry reading, story reading, riddles, mimicry, and short dramas in Nyishi, English, and Hindi. The event also featured a display of books by budding Arunachali writers, APLS' membership drive, and participants were recognized with certificates and books as token of appreciation for their involvement.
