ITANAGAR, Aug 24: One of oldest community based students body, the Kargu Kardi Student Union (KKSU) organised a series of educational awareness programmes for students from August 17 to 24, in connection with their forthcoming foundation day which would be observed on August 27 next.
An interactive career counseling programme was organised at Government High Secondary School, Liromoba on Saturday which was attended by the students from Class VI to XII.  The programme was anchored by Pakpu Gako and aims and objectives of the programme were addressed by Minku Tato, President of KKSU. Babom Romin, ZPM of Liromoba spoke on the occasion and praised KKSU for their activities especially in remote places like Liromoba and assured all support to KKSU for similar educational activities which benefits the students.
Taram Tasing, Principal in charge of GHSS Liromoba also spoke on the occasion.
KKSU felicitated two resource persons who participated in the week-long career counselling programme held in different parts of Arunachal Pradesh.  Ranjan K Baruah, Career Mentor and Skill Trainer appealed to the students to think out of the box if they want to get placement in near future. He also mentioned about the importance of employability skills and 21st century skills for moving ahead of peers in the competitive world.
“Youth from Arunachal Pradesh should not only limit themselves to jobs in the state but should try to work outside the state and abroad for their sustainable future,” said Jummo Potom, Social Development Expert, Govt of Arunachal Pradesh  who was also one of the resource persons. He appealed to the students to have clarity of their subjects so that they enjoy studying and become more successful in future.
Jomki Yomgam, General Secretary of KKSU thanked all the students for their active participation in the  programme and invited them to participate in the forthcoming foundation day where meritorious students would be felicitated by the union.
