Seppa, Nov 6: A 20-day Kayak and Raft Guide, Safety Training Education Course & Assessment started at Seppa. 21 trainees has registered for the course of which 13 are from East Kameng and 8 from Upper Subansiri District.
The training aims to train the youth in water sports and adventure which will be a boost in promoting tourism as well as in earning livelihood. The 20-day course has been divided into 3 parts: 8 days Kayak Guide, 8 days Raft Guide and 4 days on safety Training Education Course and Assessment. The Trainers are Tsering Chotak and Anton Sveshnikova who are instructors from International Rafting Federation (IRF).
The inaugural function was graced by Tapuk Taku, MLA Seppa and Sachin Rana, Deputy Commissioner as Chief Guest and Guest of honor.
