Raga, May 13: The District Health Society (DHS),Kamle marked a significant milestone today as it convened its first ever quarterly review meeting under the chairmanship of Dr. Tage Kanno, District Medical Officer (DMO). The meeting served as a platform for an in-depth assessment of the healthcare landscape in the district, with focus on enhancing service delivery and improving health indicators.
The meeting brought together key stakeholders, including in-charges of vertical programs under the National Health Mission (NHM) and National AYUSH Mission, along with representatives from various health facilities across the district. Each participant delivered a comprehensive PowerPoint presentation highlighting the performance of their respective programs and facilities.
Central to the discussions were the challenges encountered by field staff, including issues related to infrastructure and manpower shortages. Participants engaged in constructive dialogue to identify potential solutions aimed at overcoming these hurdles and bolstering healthcare delivery across the district.
DMO Dr. Tage Kanno underscored the importance of maintaining meticulous records of daily activities and emphasized the significance of timely reporting. As part of one of the meeting's outcomes, dates were set for monthly ASHA Review Meetings at different health facilities, with a minimum agenda established for these gatherings. Additionally, it was decided that a designated district official would attend these ASHA Review Meetings to ensure comprehensive oversight.
Furthermore, Medical Officer Incharges of all facilities received directives to personally oversee the record-keeping activities of ASHAs to ensure the accuracy of data.
In a parallel initiative, the meeting also featured the District Level Review and Orientation Workshop for the forthcoming National Deworming Day (NDD), further underscoring the DHS Kamle's commitment to proactive healthcare planning and execution.
