ITANAGAR, Aug 13: In a significant tribute to the remarkable service and ultimate sacrifice of Arunachal Ratna DySP Bomto Kamdak, the Capital Police has announced the initiation of the "Bomto Kamdak Medal of Hope." This prestigious award, under the Police Ajin initiative, will be conferred annually in August to individuals or organizations that have made outstanding contributions to enhancing police-community relations, promoting communal harmony, and advancing societal well-being.
The Bomto Kamdak Medal of Hope is designed to recognize and celebrate those who have shown extraordinary dedication to bridging the gap between law enforcement and the community, fostering unity among diverse groups, and contributing to the overall betterment of society. The medal not only honours these significant efforts but also aims to inspire others to follow in the footsteps of DySP Bomto Kamdak, whose legacy is marked by unwavering commitment, courage, and public service. Through this award, the values upheld by DySP Kamdak will be perpetuated, encouraging a collective pursuit of harmony, justice, and societal progress.
Nominees for the Bomto Kamdak Medal of Hope must demonstrate exceptional contributions in several key areas: like Strengthening Police-Community Relations,Assistance in Times of Need to police during emergencies, such as natural disasters, are eligible for consideration, Intelligence Contribution,Life-Saving Actions, Promotion of Communal Harmony.
The inaugural Bomto Kamdak Medal of Hope will be awarded within the next fifteen days. Nominations are open to all, with the deadline for submission set for August 23, 2024. The winner will be announced on August 27, 2024, and honored with a medal, certificate, and cash prize during a formal public ceremony. Submissions can be sent via email to spcap@arunpol.nic.in, stated a release from the Superintendent of Police Itanagar Capital Region (ICR).
