ITANAGAR, July 9: The Itanagar Capital Police, under the leadership of Deputy Superintendent Kengo Dirchi and Inspector T. Tasso, conducted a successful community outreach program in the Niti Vihar area today. The initiative included foot patrolling from Panchali to Kola Camp, covering a distance of 4 kilometers, with active participation from local ward members and youth.
During the patrolling, sensitive and hotspot areas of Niti Vihar, including Mahatma Gandhi Park, were thoroughly inspected and sensitized to ensure community safety. A mass awareness meeting convened at Mahatma Gandhi Park provided a platform for stakeholders to voice their concerns directly to law enforcement officials. Emphasis was placed on combating drug-related issues and maintaining the park's cleanliness and safety.
SDPO Kengo Dirchi expressed gratitude to the Ward members and youth for their active participation and support. He underscored the importance of community policing in fostering a safer environment and urged continued cooperation from the public in crime prevention efforts.
The community outreach program marks a proactive step by the Itanagar Capital Police in engaging with residents and addressing local concerns effectively.
