PASIGHAT, Nov 30: The West Pasighat MLA Ninong Ering and East Siang Deputy Commissioner Tayi Taggu today jointly inaugurated the IPR Branch Office cum Publicity Unit at the Ruksin ADC office complex.
Ering, while addressing the gathering said that the main objective of the newly established branch office at Ruksin was to inform the public about the policies and programmes of the government while also keeping the government informed about people's response to its policies and programmes. Stating that communication was a most vital process of socio-economic development, Ering opined that asking and listening to the local community, residents and interested groups about their views and input would yield new insights. According to him, well informed public would always be able to understand the benefits of modern development and would meaningfully contribute in the state building process.
Earlier, Deputy Commissioner Tayi Taggu in his brief speech expressed hope that the IPR personnel would ensure appropriate publicity activities in the local area through mass media and maintain liaison with press fraternity including AIR and Doordarshan etc in the interest of the local populace. 
ADC Incharge Jecob Tabing (EAC) also spoke on the occasion.
