ITANAGAR, Nov 22: An interaction cum exposure visit programme was conducted today by Deputy Director ICDS cell Yupia, Department of Women and Child Development, as part of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Scheme.
Around 30 adolescent girl students of Government Upper primary school C-sector Itanagar and Government Higher Secondary School Polo Colony Naharlagun were taken for exposure visit to Women Police station itanagar.
During the program, Tana Chammaro, Deputy Director incharge, ICDS cell Yupia while welcoming the participants, briefed them about the BBBP scheme.
Officer - in- charge Women P.S ,Inspector Sunita Nabam and Sub Inspector Dopi Pakam explained to the participants about various laws relating to women and children.
Ponung Moyong , CDPO Naharlagun while cautioning the students about cyber crime, also urged on the need to have awareness on cyber crimes.
Legal cum probation officer,DCPU Papum pare Tarh Nagu briefed the participants on JJ Act and POCSO Act.
