Itanagar, Sep 26: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt. General KT Parnaik (Retd.) participated in ‘EK Ped Maa Ke Naam’ plantation programme at Ramakrishna Mission School, Aalo on Thursday. The Along Forest Division, Aalo organized the programme.
The Governor appealed to the people to honour and celebrate motherhood by planting a tree in their mothers' name. He said that the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' initiative serves as a tribute to mothers while also promoting environmental benefits such as expanding green cover, combating climate change, and preserving biodiversity.
The Governor said that the program fosters a deeper sense of responsibility and connection to nature among individuals and communities. 
On his maiden visit to the institution, Parnaik encouraged students to imbibe discipline, compassion, and a spirit of dedication. He urged them to focus on their goals, act selflessly, and develop leadership qualities to drive change.
The Governor said that today’s youth are the future leaders who will bring to life the Hon'ble Prime Minister’s vision of a Viksit Bharat. He emphasized the importance of education, discipline, and motivation in shaping this future. He commended the institution for its contribution in the education sector in the State.
