Itanagar, May 31: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt. General KT Parnaik (Retd.) interacted with the troops of 56 Infantry Division at Military Station, Likabali on Thursday.
The Governor said that the people of Arunachal Pradesh have huge regards and respect for the armed forces owing to the goodwill they have cultivated over the years amongst the local population. He advised them to uphold the spirit with proactive welfare measures and a positive mindset.
The Governor called upon the troops to help the local people through collaborative endeavours but at the same time instill responsibility amongst them for all Sadbhavana projects. He also suggested them to integrate the local civil population in the overall security of the border areas.
Parnaik shared his views on management of the Line of Actual Control in Arunachal Pradesh which is sensitive and tough to monitor. He advised the troops to remain physically fit, mentally alert and cautious about the hostile intentions across the border and ensure security and safety of the northern borders.
Major General Akaash Johar, General Officer Commanding (GOC), 56 Infantry Division, Likabali, and Deputy GOC Brigadier SD Upadhyay, VSM along with various unit Commanding Officers and troops participated in the Sainik Sammelan.
