ITANAGAR, Dec 2: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt. General K.T. Parnaik (Retd.) has extended warm greetings to the Divyangjans on the special occasion of International Day of Persons with Disabilities. He expressed hope that the celebration will create awareness for the cause of the differently abled for promoting their dignity, safety, security, rights, and equal opportunity for progress in society.
In his message, the Governor said that in the pursuit of inclusivity, humane attitudes serve as powerful catalysts, both in the social fabric and the economic landscape. It plays an important role in promoting 'Divyang' people in social life and the economic field. This must start from within the family and extend to society, he said.
The Governor called upon each and every section of society to do their bit in securing proper rehabilitation to the differently abled people and encourage them to be performers. He also urged the Divyangjans to inculcate mental robustness and spirit to be an achiever, building up self-confidence and optimism to overcome the mental inhibition in them.
On this day, let us seek and identify the abilities of the Divyangjan and promote them. Let this day serve as a reminder that inclusion is not just a concept; it is a shared responsibility and a testament to the strength we derive from embracing our differences, he appealed in his message.
