Itanagar, Jan 10: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt. General K.T. Parnaik (Retd.) has extended greetings to the people of the State on the joyous occasion of Sarok. He expressed hope that the celebration would bring everyone peace, prosperity, and happiness.
In his message, the Governor said festivals foster diversity, creativity, and civic pride, contributing significantly to our overall psychological well-being. The Sarok Festival marvelously reflects the Hrusso community's profound connection with nature. It embodies the core values of their socio-cultural heritage and serves as a tribute to their ancestors, who personify the tribe’s traditions and values. Such festivals strengthen our moral fabric and play a vital role in preserving and passing down our rich cultural heritage and customs, he said.
On this sacred occasion, I join my Hrusso brethren in offering prayers to the Almighty for the well-being and prosperity of all, the Governor said in his message.
