Itanagar, Feb 25: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt. General K.T. Parnaik (Retd.) has extended heartfelt greetings to the people of the State on the joyous occasion of Nyokum Festival. He expressed hope that the festivity brings joy, harmony, and renewed strength to the bonds that unite us as one vibrant community.
The Governor said that Nyokum, one of the most popular and celebrated festivals in Arunachal Pradesh, marvellously reflects the treasured traditions and values of the Nyishi community. The vibrant celebrations of Nyokum Yullo provide an opportunity to showcase the moral heritage, social values, and cultural diversity that make our state truly unique. This cherished festival of the Nyishi community stands as a testament to the rich and vibrant cultural heritage of our beloved State Arunachal Pradesh. As we come together to celebrate, I am confident that the youth, community leaders, and esteemed members of the Nyishi community will continue to play a vital role in preserving and promoting this invaluable cultural legacy for generations to come, he said.
With heartfelt devotion, I join my Nyishi brethren in offering prayers to Nyokum Ane, seeking her divine blessings for peace, prosperity, and well-being for all, the Governor said in his message.
