ITANAGAR, Nov 14: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt. General K.T. Parnaik (Retd.) has conveyed warm greetings and good wishes to the people of the State on the festive occasion of Nyethrii-Dow. He expressed hope that the festival of Aka (Hrusso) community of Arunachal Pradesh ushers-in peace, harmony and prosperity for all.
In his message, the Governor said that festivals play a significant role in connecting us to our cultural 
heritage and traditions. They serve as a wonderful platform for people to come together, celebrate, and enjoy moments of happiness and togetherness. Participating in festivals fosters a sense of belonging and unity among people, reinforcing the social fabric of a community or society. The shared joy and celebration create lasting memories and contribute to a sense of shared identity among the participants. Festivals often showcase unique customs, rituals, and traditional practices that are passed down through generations, adding to the richness of our cultural heritage, he said.
On this festive occasion, I join my Aka (Hrusso) brethren in offering prayers to Almighty God for peace and socio-economic wellbeing of all, the Governor wished in his message.
