ITANAGAR, Nov 30: Governor Lt. General K.T. Parnaik (Retd.) has extended warm greetings to the people of the State on the special occasion of Indigenous Faith Day. He expressed hope that the celebration will inspire all to carry forward the indigenous faith system, as the people have done since times immemorial and further strengthen the bonds of our composite culture and belief.
In his message, the Governor said that the faith and spiritual value system of various communities is a source of inspiration and guidance. It enlightens the believers and instils virtues in them. It thus devolves on us to observe such occasions for the peace and well being of the people. These principles contribute not only to the spiritual well-being of individuals but also to the overall peace and well-being of society. Tolerance, compassion, kindness, and will to sacrifice for the common good are the manifestations of indigenous faith. In essence, the celebration of Indigenous Faith Day becomes a means of preserving cultural identity and also promoting mutual respect, understanding, and cooperation among diverse communities. A person develops to his or her fullest potential, when he or she follows the age-old cultural heritage and traditions, he said.
On this occasion, I offer my prayers to Almighty to bestow his choicest blessings on each one of us, the Governor said in his message.
