Itanagar, May 11: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt. General K.T. Parnaik (Retd.), has extended good wishes to the people of the State, especially to the Buddhist community, on the sacred and joyous occasion of Buddha Purnima. He hoped the day would continue to inspire all with Lord Buddha’s timeless message of love, peace, and harmony.
In his message, the Governor said that Lord Buddha, revered as the Light of Asia, is one of the greatest spiritual teachers in human history. His path of compassion, nonviolence, tolerance, and universal brotherhood continues to guide and uplift millions across the world. His teachings are a beacon of hope, offering solace and spiritual strength in times of need.
The Governor further said that the Eightfold Path, i.e., Right View, Right Intention, Right Speech, Right Action, Right Livelihood, Right Effort, Right Mindfulness, and Right Concentration, remains a complete and profound guide to ethical and mindful living. These principles form the heart of the Dharma, encouraging us to lead lives rooted in wisdom and compassion.
May this Buddha Purnima deepen the bonds of unity, mutual respect, and emotional harmony among all communities, and bring tranquility and well-being to every corner of our society, the Governor wished in his message.
