ITANAGAR, Dec 8: In his continuous effort to reach out to the people, the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Lt. General KT Parnaik (Retd.) interacted with government officials, gaon burahs, panchayat members and public of Tirap District at Khonsa on Thursday.
The Governor informed the villagers that in the spirit of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas aur Sabka Prayas', Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra with special focus on tribal communities. He called upon the people, especially the villagers to avail benefits from the Central Government programmes and schemes. He advised those who are yet to avail benefits to get themselves registered.
The Governor said that it is for the good of the society, its progress and development. The Goan burahs, Panchayat members and government officials have the responsibility to ensure that the eligible beneficiaries avail benefits. He said that it is the collective responsibility of all stakeholders to make Viksit Bharat Sankapl Yatra successful for socio-economic development of every citizen in Arunachal Pradesh and all must work in a Mission mode.
Reviewing the progress of the Central and State Governments’ development projects, programmes and schemes in the district, the Governor emphasized on timely implementation, ensuring quality and optimum use of allocated funds. He stressed on strengthening education and health sectors and enhancing infrastructure. 
The Governor advised the officials to be accountable, responsible and work in a priority and efficient manner. He urged them to go for automation, which will help in proper planning, implementation and prioritizing projects and schemes. He said that instead of passing orders, the officials must go to the ground and monitor.
MLAs Wanglam Sawin and Chakat Aboh, District Prabhari of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra Ateesh Kumar Singh, Joint Secretary, MSME, Govt. of India, Director General of Police Anand Mohan and Zilla Parishad Chairperson Chatnong Lowang were also present on the occasion. Deputy Commissioner Hento Karga briefed the Governor about the developmental progress of the district while Superintendent of Police Rahul Gupta gave an overview powerpoint presentation on the security scenario of the district.
