Itanagar, Sep 23: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt. General K.T. Parnaik (Retd.) has conveyed warm greetings to the people of the State, particularly to the Idu Mishmi community on the auspicious occasion of Ke Meh Ha. He expressed hope that the festival will bring prosperity and happiness to all.
In his message, the Governor said that since time immemorial, agriculture has been the mainstay of the people of Arunachal Pradesh. As a result, our festivals are deeply connected to agricultural activities, and we have continued to celebrate them in this traditional manner. These celebrations and rituals play a vital role in preserving and promoting our cultural heritage. Let us take pride in our rich history and customs, and work to preserve our shared values. I encourage the younger generation to actively participate in these community celebrations, which connect us to our roots, he said.
On this festive day, I join my Idu brethren in praying to Apeh Milih of Apesha, the Goddess of crops, and Manu, the spirit of the field and granary, to bestow their blessings upon us all, the Governor said in his message.
