ITANAGAR, Nov 26: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt. General K.T. Parnaik (Retd.) has greeted the people on the auspicious occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti.
In his message, the Governor said that Guru Nanak Ji, the founder of Sikhism, is revered for his profound teachings that emphasize spiritualism, justice, and humanism. His messages of love, amity, and equality have left an enduring impact on the cultural and ethical landscape of society. Guru Nanak Ji's teachings provide a timeless guide for individuals seeking a path of righteousness and virtue. This concept is enshrined in the Sikh scripture, Guru Granth Sahib, which contains the teachings of Guru Nanak Ji and also other Sikh Gurus. The emphasis on purity of mind, earning an honest living, and selfless service reflects Guru Nanak Ji's commitment to ethical conduct and a life of righteousness. These principles, known as Naam Japna (remembering the divine), Kirat Karni (earning an honest living), and Vand Chakna (selfless service), are integral to Sikh ethics and guide followers in leading a life of purpose and moral uprightness, he said.
May this occasion inspire everyone to follow the ideals of Guru Nanak Dev ji, the Governor wished in his message.
