ITANAGAR, Dec 23: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt. General KT Parnaik,(Retd.) has called for strengthening the security apparatus in the eastern district of Tirap, Changlang and Longding (TCL) districts.
The Governor discussed ways and means to strengthen the security in TCL districts with the Sector Commander of Assam Rifles, who called on him at Raj Bhavan, Itanagar on Saturday. Parnaik called upon the Commander to spruce up the system in militant affected areas in coordination with para-military forces and the Arunachal Pradesh Police.
The Governor suggested implementation of measures to share real time intelligence with the forces including Arunachal Pradesh Police operating in TCL districts to stamp out anti-national elements and restore peace in the region.
The Commander briefed the Governor on the security scenario of the TLC region and various issues including goodwill projects of the Force. He assured the Governor of the proactive role of the Assam Rifles in maintaining law and order in Eastern Arunachal.
