PASIGHAT, July 30: As a part of World Hepatitis Day celebration, Tasi Panggeng Community Health Centre (FRU) Ruksin on Tuesday conducted Free Hepatitis B & C Screening Test for the vulnerable sections- Drivers of TT Infra India Hq –Tech giant, constructing the Railway Project from Murkong Selek to Pasighat, at IGC, Niglok under Ruksin Sub-division.
Test was conducted under National Hepatitis Control Programme (NHCP). FRU Medical Officer Incharge Dr. Kadum Jonnom informed that altogether 104 test were conducted today out of which only one was screened ‘Positive’ and rest 103 were negative. IEC activities on transmission, prevention and medical treatment was carried out by the Medical Interns from TRIHMS, Naharlagun, posted at FRU Ruksin under Compulsory Rotating Medical Internship (CRMI) programme on community medicine posting. Dr. Kadum further informed that medications for positives are given free under NVHCP. Free Hepatitis B&C test have been made available at FRU Ruksin, which has been designated as Treatment Provider (TP) under NVHCP.
