KHONSA,Nov 6: In a significant joint operation, the Deomali and Borduria Police successfully apprehended four individuals and seized 110.5 grams of suspected heroin on November 3 last. The operation was conducted following reliable information and culminated in the arrest of the accused and the recovery of the illicit substance from a rented house in Deomali's Batey Colony.
The operation was led by a team of law enforcement officers and an executive magistrate, ensuring a meticulous and lawful procedure. The accused found in possession of the suspected heroin were taken into custody without incident.
Police has arrested Jenwang Teppa (24), Wangtiap Hakhun (26), Wangchun Lowang (33) and Jalin Lowang (46).
During the operation, police seized at least 110.5 grams of suspected heroin, valued at approximately 5 Lakhs, cash amounting to Rs. 36,100, Five syringes,and a mobile phone with SIM card.
An FIR has been filed under C/No. 11/2023 U/S 21(b)/27(a)/25 NDPS Act r/w 34 IPC at the Deomali Police Station on the same day. Further investigation into the case is currently underway.
