ITANAGAR, July 14: The Papumpare District Border People's Forum (PPDBPF), led by its president Nabam Akin Hina, has expressed his appreciation for the notification issued by the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh to re-constitute the Regional Committees to resolve Assam -Arunachal Boundary issue for the Papumpare district.
The PPDBPF has welcomed the state government's decision, expressing their readiness to cooperate with the newly formed Regional Committee. The committee will be headed by the Minister, Balo Raja, sitting Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha, Nabam Rebai. And MLA Nabam Vivek.
The PPDBPF has highlighted that the new Regional Committee will be tasked with interacting with all the public residing near the boundary areas to conduct detailed consultations before the regional meeting.
This move is seen as a positive step towards addressing the long-pending and vexed issue of the boundary dispute with the neighboring state of Assam, said President- PPDBPF . He also expressed the forum's readiness to cooperate with the state government and the Regional Committee to work towards resolving this crucial issue., stated a release.
