SANGRAM, Dec 8: Minister for Home, RD & Panchayati Raj, Bamang Felix, who is also local MLA of the 19th Nyapin Assembly Constituency, conducted a thorough inspection of the recently completed  Water Treatment Plant in Sangram on Friday.
Speaking to the media, Felix provided insights into the progress made in resolving water connectivity issues across most parts of the 19-Nyapin constituency through the implementation of the “Har Ghar Nal, Har Ghar Jal” schemes initiated by the BJP-led central government.
While significant strides have been made, a few sections in the Sangram town faced persistent challenges due to technical issues, necessitating the exploration of alternative water sources from adjacent areas. Expressing optimism, Felix emphasized that the completion of the 1MLD Water Treatment Plant marks a crucial milestone. He highlighted that households in Sangram town, previously excluded from the water supply network, will now receive ample potable water.
Elaborating further, the Minister stated that the project reached its successful conclusion recently. However, water reached the treatment plant from the main source on the very day of the inspection. Today water has reached the plant, and it will go for trial and filtration, after completion of all the procedures water supply will be released.  This development marks a significant and positive turning point for the residents of Sangram, signifying improved access to a vital resource, he added.
Felix further expressed his satisfaction with the project's completion and assured continued efforts to address essential infrastructure needs for the welfare of the local community.
