ITANAGAR, Nov 7: The Former Legislator's Welfare Association (FLWA) held a meeting of its state executive and district coordinators on Monday at Itanagar to deliberate on the welfare activities of the former lawmakers.
Former minister and FLWA President Tanyong Tatak and Secretary General Anok Wangsa briefed the members about the purpose of the meeting. The meeting was attended by the state executive and District Coordinators including Chief Advisor Nima Tsering Khrimey and Legal Advisor Advocate Eken Riba.
During the daylong meeting every member participated and deliberated on the welfare activities of the former legislators particularly the increasing health problems of the elderly members that need to be taken care of by the FLWA on humanitarian ground.
The meeting discussed in length and breadth, about how the Former Legislator’s Welfare Association would continue to work for the development of the areas and the state in general.
In conclusion, the members unanimously decided to cooperate and guide panchayat leaders at the grassroot level and MLAs, Ministers at higher level in every public importance related issue of the state.
The State Executive seriously viewed about the objectives of the FLWA which is purely non-political and unanimously agreed not to use the platform for any political activity.
The meeting also resolved to cooperate and support all the public interest development policies and programmes of the state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Pema Khandu.
