Yupia, Jun 6: With the academic sessions 2024-25 starting soon, a crucial review meeting of the block and cluster level functionaries of the Education Department of Papum Pare was held at the  DDSE office here on Thursday. 
The meeting chaired by Papum Pare DDSE T.T Tara, reviewed the academic performance of the students in Arunachal Pradesh Board and CBSE examination 2023-24. It also outlined the role of the block level education functionaries,  implementation of centrally sponsored schemes, strategies to improve the overall performances of the schools and issues related to boundaries of the schools.
Addressing the block and cluster level functionaries ( BEOs, BRCCs),  DDSE Tara said that “ Block-level education functionaries play a vital role in the decentralized management of education policies by ensuring that the policies and programs formulated at higher levels are effectively implemented at the grassroots level.”
He called for regular “ monitoring and supervision of the schools through routine  school visits to monitor the quality of education, teacher performance, student attendance, and the implementation of various educational schemes.”
He further encouraged the block level functionaries for engaging with the local community, including Administration officers, parents and local leaders, to promote education and address any local issues that affect the schools.
DDSE Tara also directed all the Block & Cluster Level functionaries to complete the School boundary mapping process within one week and submit the same  by 15th June for obtaining LPCs from the Deputy Commissioner. 
Underscoring the importance  of updated records of the centrally sponsored schemes, he further, exhorted for updating of all records of Mid Day Meal (PM Poshan)  and other flagship programmes and schemes on monthly basis by concern field staff.
Tara also placed a proposal titled  ‘Look Back To school’ through which a voluntary contribution from teachers will be collected annually to generate fund. “However, it’s detail plan will be intimated after discussion with ATA and AASSATA Papum Pare District Unit members, “he added.
The meeting was attended by all the Block level and cluster level education functionaries of Papum Pare district.
