A police team, led by Insp. S.Don, successfully arrested Byate Tana, Taje Tana, and Tajik Nabam on November 13 last, after their initial attempt was thwarted by their brother-in-law. Tajik Nabam had tipped off the suspects upon seeing the police team.
The investigation took a turn when it was revealed that Janu alias Atam Tana and Maya Sangchoju had left for Delhi before eventually being located in Hyderabad. Both were arrested on November 25 last.
Janu alias Atam Tana confessed to orchestrating the revenge plot and disclosed that he utilized his wife, Maya Sangchoju, to wait in Seppa for almost two months to carry out the act.
