PASIGHAT, July 30: Chairing the District Level Monitoring Committee (DLMC) cum E-Pragati monthly review meeting here today, Deputy Commissioner Tayi Taggu instructed the officers to put all out efforts to make East Siang a front runner of all developmental indicators.
The DC asked all stakeholders to disseminate awareness on various schemes to the targeted beneficiaries. “It is the onus on each one of us to deliver last mile services to the people and reach the unreached and cover all target beneficiaries with our sustained and proactive efforts to meet up the expectations of the people in all developmental sectors,” he said.
After taking stock of the status and of all ongoing Central and State sponsored schemes through the presentations by the HoDs, Taggu asked department concerned to complete projects in time without compromising with work quality and stressed on maximum utilisation of limited working period.
The DLMC meeting was also attended by the Pasighat West MLA Ninong Ering, Pasighat East MLA Tapi Darang and Mebo MLA Oken Tayeng. During the interactive session with officers, the trio put forward their suggestions on important issues and outlined people friendly attitude, transparency, quick delivery of public services and team spirit.
The education scenario of the district needs to be improved by team efforts, they observed. They urged the HODs to cooperate with them and District Administration in making a new beginning for ‘Team Pasighat’ to achieve the targets of welfare schemes devised by the government for the people of the district.
